ArtSlam and Life

So before I get onto the tad more blah things:

One month of ArtSlam done as of, well today actually! I’ve signed up for another month (Medium) still with Arasthe being my theme which has been enjoyable. With the sheer chaos going on lately where I only know what’s happening the day before next having SOME consistency has been a huge help.

So want to sign up for Easy or Medium? Well you can until tomorrow midnight [link]

So the other things. Well aside from being screwed over repeatedly on what I’m actually doing what week. Every time I plan something, something goes wrong though not on the technological side but where I am what day meaning ArtSlam has been a huge relief. I THOUGHT everything had settled, but no a phone call threw a very depressing spanner into the works.

Every Monday since starting A4E again (Formerly Tuesdays and Wednesdays) I’ve been using my day off to continue my Advanced ECDL in full knowledge that come late July thanks to the Government fund pulling it would be shut down. Really I just wanted to get as much done before it did go which is understandable.

Shaun (Much awesome person) rang earlier to say their Monday and Tuesday hours will now be 5-9pm, COMPLETELY out of what I’m able to do as I won’t be able to get home :/ Mondays were the only day I wasn’t working or at A4E hence I’ve been out 6 days a week doing so much. Oh and someone who works there may have just been “let go” without warning though on that one nobody’s sure.

It’s a horrid situation. I just want to get as much of my course done as possible but the roadblocks are constant and it’s really awful watching people I’ve known for months who obviously adore their jobs being kicked out to the kerb just as part of a stealth cut in spending when people WANT training right now. It’s just ARGH.

When the place does shut down everyone will be forced to go to Lincoln for assessments. Many have put their course on hold as they can’t afford it or the times are so messed they can’t get to the Gainsborough one now. I’m facing the reality my course will go on hold too as I simply don’t have the time nor the cash to go to Lincoln for them. I’ve already had to stop driving lessons for the same reason, partly also as the DSA screw up put me back to square one.

I’ll miss going there a lot, I love the place. Mean yesterday we were laughing when Shaun was talking to his baby daughter on the phone which was insanely cute. It was a happy environment that made you enjoy coming. I miss the driving as well it’s just :/ I feel like Every time the wheel starts moving somewhere something else jumps in the way causing it to screech to a halt and I’m back where I started.

All the while my savings are dropping faster as more expenses come in whilst job hunting like so many others I’m being outright ignored.

Sorry to be slightly depressing. This plus the incidents yesterday I just don’t know anymore. I really don’t.

Coming up with an idea is dead easy. Executing it without issue however is where the creative kick comes from.
